Your in great position dangelous, ...its not totally easy from here, but the bear was getting those lines out and the others uncoupled. You'll have to work back and forth, a little at a time at first, the tank to get it out...that's where the friend comes in handy. The tank itself is quite lite for its size, its the fuel inside that makes it cumbersome.

Thanks HH I had the tank half out before the rain so not overly worried about that! It’s the cue pump replacement I’m worried about now 😂

Don't know how great of a position I'm in ,this car Sat for 3,4 years before I rescued it..
fuel was like varnish injectors plugged up ,just a mess... everytime I turn around something else is getting replaced. Ugh! Hasn't been on the road since I started this post. Don't even know if it's worth it yet...

All I have for tea is a Lipton tea bag I found in the kitchen behind the stove when I bought this place... Looks ok to me...

Looks great!! Still didn’t know where to use my trolley jack on it! Couldn’t use the standard jack points as the jack got in the way of the axle stands! So had to use the jaguar jack!

MJ has quite an investment in floor jacks I see. I think he's keeping Harbor Freight in business by himself...lol

Fuel pump changed, bit fiddly but not bad, hope everything is all correct, I’ve a clip left over and no idea where the hell it came from, any ideas? Can’t imagine it’s off the fuel

Let's hope you find out before you put all back together. And it's not something that belongs in the tank....
Good luck. .. Keep moving forward. ..

...or its off of something totally unrelated and you just happened to find it doing this and you knock your brain out just to realize that.

That's a smart thing, have you reviewed any differences in the old pump vs the new one? Say maybe what was previously a 2 piece slip clip on a joint, is now a pressed piece single assembly?

I reviewed this as best I could to no answer (its an XK8, but the setup is the same). Perhaps you can see something dangelous? In either case if any of you were interested why the fuel lines are such a PITA, there are some excellent camera shots showing why... JagRepair.com - Jaguar Repair Information Resource
