Default 2nd Broken Headlight in Last Two Weeks ?

I have shattered two headlights separately over the last two weeks, both I believe were probably originals by appearance but no way of knowing for sure as second owner. First was left outside and second was right inside, never heard or felt a bang or saw a rock coming or anything, just come out in the morning to find broken, no glass around except for inside of bucket. I have another off eBay on the way but was wondering if you guys could enlighten me on what's going on here, could they become fragile with age, improperly mounted, or something else ?

You didn't tic off a neighbor by chasing his daughter? ...lol

Sounds like bad luck in any case.

Actually, we did **** off the neighbors behind us after my other neighbor caught their teenage son on security cam trying to break into his car. Then I complained about his taking the side boards off my trailer and making a bridge across the creek that separates us. But none the less I don't think anyone has deliberately been busting my headlights, no glass to be found on the ground, only inside the bucket, so I guess for now I will just chalk it up to bad luck and hope it improves :-)

Yeah despite the adjuster fittings looking correct I've had to actually press mine back in & it yielded about a half inch of play corrected.

I think you found my answer Charles, upon inspection the broken and not yet replaced has the play you described as well as another, the other two are good and tight. I will be investigating further tomorrow and thanks again :-)

No problem, I went through an ordeal chasing down random noises up front & found mine.

I found a broken headlight adjusting screw, the ball on the end that snaps into the headlight has broken off allowing it to flop up and down enough to cause breakage. Not sure I'm calling this adjustment screw by the correct name but I can't seem to find a replacement, got any ideas ?
