I am hoping someone can tell me if there are supposed to be automatic stopping points for the sunroof function? When I press the button to close the tilt it keeps going to full open. I don't know if i need the TSP to set the timing or if it is a problem with control module. Anyone have this happen before? Also anyone have a decent place to get a sunroof seal at a good price?

Stopping points: Not that I am aware. They may need reprogramming sometimes or they start to act a little strange.

Second: There is no sunroof seal. It has 2 drain holes that get clogged, shoot some air down them, the leak will stop.

Good luck!

Please go to the large file download area and read ALL the TSBs I uploaded for the sliding roof.

They will be in the 501-XX section for BODY.
There is a TSB for aligning the 'white dots' in the roof module to get it timed correctly.

Max:
You are of course right, BUT his point is well made- it is not a water seal per se, it is a wind seal at best. The seal is not designed to keep water from passing, just slow it down so the drains can handle it. And yes, it is a PITA to replace. I made a tool from a pair of what we call "gas pliers" to crimp the new one on.

The seal does not stop water passing, under any circumstance. It is sound proofing at best, and practically useless. I was more going for the actual problem, water in the cabin.

Hi
The TSB that motorcarman (Bob) is referring to is tsb 501-26 Sliding Roof Diagnoisis & Repair.

It describes the major components such as Sliding Roof Control Module (SRCM), Tilt & Slide mechanisms.
Step 14 is: The SRCM should be re-timed, with the two dots aligned, (1, Illustration 9), and then installed on the assembly.

The instruction is on page 7.

The water issue fix is also on page 7:
WATER INGRESS AROUND FURFLEX SEAL.
If water is entering the sliding roof panel area by the rear of the Furflex seal, the seal must be
removed and discarded and a new seal installed, as follows ..........

Here is the weblink to the TSB:

I drive with the radio off and listen for wind noise. Maneuver between open and close til the noise is the least. I don't have any leaking issues. If you open the sunroof and push the front air dam down while driving you will hear a noticeable change min wind noise. My sun roof does not automatically stop at the perfect point.
