Default Adamesh 'R' Emblems

Hey all,

Forgive me for my ignorance, but I ordered this kit off Adamesh for my XJR assuming the two bottom 'R' pieces would replace the Jaguar ones on the fender and the top one would replace the one on the decklid.

Jaguar XJ8 XJR Type R Side Badge Set

Why would they label it as such. Has anyone come across this? Or am I wrong on all counts and they do fit.

The ones on the car look a tad more rectangular and the rear one looks too small to be a direct replacement.

Let me know your thoughts.

Many thanks,
Cyrus

The reason is on the Admesh page itself.... Home>JaguarXJ>X350 (2004-2009)

It is not for the X308!

Your link in the first post refers to the x350, hence the answer.
The square R I see sometimes under the original leaper on the fenders (google for pics), the boot badge seems to be wrong.
All in all not a very classy add-on, but thats my opinion .

Haha I know the pic you're talking about. Not a fan.

But if this were a replacement that looked clean and from the factory then why not?

Your link goes to X350!?!?

Look at the boot (trunk) badge.... where is the hole for the key???

IMHO, this boot (trunk) badge would clash terribly with the original Jaguar badge on the left side of the boot.... different size, font etc...

But hey, its your money and your car.

They are for the later cars -- they don't match the size of the originals. You can't remove the trunk badge and install the later.

Personally - I don't like them on the later cars.

Correct -- they don't fit.
