airconditioner leak near the rad.
Almost have my 2000 xj8 back in good running condition. All I need to do now is fix the airconditioner. I topped up the refrigerant but I noticed it was leaking out ( slowly) at a coupling near the rad. There is one bolt holding things together but I imagine that there is an o ring to provide a positive seal. Does anyone know the size and can I just take it apart and slip a new o ring in then refill?
If you are going to keep the car you should have the system professional taken care of and replace the receiver dryer -- that way you can check out the whole system and fill it correctly including the oil and you should not have any more problems with it.
If the system has leaked you will have moisture in it an a 10+ year old RdDis not going to take care of it.
