Default ASC not working C1145 & U2012

Hi all,

Had the ASC/TC inporative message from time to time but it's staying on all the time now.

I tried the ABS solder repair but still getting the following error codes:

C1145 Front right wheel speed sensor input failure
U2012 CAN bus error

Does the second stem from the first problem?

I was thinking about swapping the connector loom and then the sensors from right to left to see if the problem moves, sensible approach?

Any other ideas?

Thanks!

Look at this other thread by member Thermo posting (see its post# 14):

https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...-failure-3197/

It has good advise on trouble shooting this issue (it is for X type but it would also apply to your car model).

Try swapping the sensors first, a lot easier. Odds are it's the cable, so swapping them will be the real test. It worked for me.

My ASC/TRAC light has been coming on fairly regularly lately. Where do you guys get your codes read for the brakes ? I'd like to narrow it down to either a sensor, cable or ABS control unit and I'd rather not take it in to the dealer - I won't get out of there with my wallet intact. TIA.

Many independent shops can read the abs codes. There is a good chance one of the members will be able send you in the right direction. I think the cheapest software package is Autoenginuity, which runs almost $500 with the Jag attachment. I bought it over two years ago and it has saved me a lot of time and money.
