Question body number 2004 Jaguar XJR 4.2 s/c

Hi all! we've owned our 2004 XJR for a while but can't find the body number anywhere. Has anyone located theirs? anyone knows the exact location of it - maybe can share a pic o map? would save us hours of searching! this shouldn't be so complicated to find this number, but it is...

Is the "body number" the same as a VIN number?
I should be on the lower section of the windscreen... - looking though the windscreen from outside.

VIN's no trouble - it's right there. As I know there's the VIN, the chassis number and the body number, and it's the last one that's giving me a bit of a puzzle.
I'm re-registrating the car which is why I need this information: they're asking for all of them separately.

Surely they're all the same as it's a monocoque car?

It is the same number: confirm by comparing the Vin #, just off the windshield with any body part number on the hood, boot, doors . . . should be the same, at least so in North American market cars.

Not that the above answers would likely be different but as it's a 2004, I wonder if your car is an X308 or whether it's actually an X350?

As they say it's a 4.2 I'd say x350.
