My boot lamps are not attached any longer. How do I access them and reattach them? Every time I work on the car without guidance, I break some small plastic part. I'm a little gun shy. Can anybody tell me what I need to do to safely remove the boot liner and reattach the lights?

Reason: Punctuation
I had the same problem.
I reattached them with velcro industrial strength 2 inch wide tape.
I placed velcro strips on the top and bottom of each of the luggage lights, then placed velcro strips to the inside of the luggage lid liner (same locations to mate with velcro strips on the lights). Then pushed in the lights into the liner and pressed the velcro strips on the light to the velcro strips inside the liner.
The velcro has held up for more than 2 years now.

The lamp fixtures are hold by a kind of leather surround, which comes loose from the liner.
I glued the surround back, just in the same way as was done by Jaguar.
Then re-install the fixtures carefully.
It helps to have one hand behind the liner to support the surround while pushing the lamp fixture back in.
The liner itself can be easily pulled back a bit (no need to completely remove) by unscrewing the lock-bolts and pull out some of the liner pins (the small plastic round tabs). A dedicated plastic tool will help to remove those, so you can re-use them.
Install the lights after you have re-positioned the liner.

Thanks so much for the suggestions. I will give it a go this weekend. I have some Gorilla Glue. Do you think that will work on the liners? Don't want to "gum up the works" with an ineffective adhesive.

If you see how it is actually done by Jaguar, then you will realize that there is hardly anything you can destroy more then they already did.
At least in my car the glue-use was overdone, and there is a nice 'wall' of it around the surrounding piece.
I just cleared out the gutter, but left the factory 'wall' of old glue.
Looks like factory, whatever that is worth in this case .
