Default Boot (trunk) light switch

Does anyone know the location of the switch?
I have a battery drain problem, and pulling every single fuse while metered in series showed ZERO fuses/circuits at fault.
Not sure what else to check. Seems like draw is .50 in the 10A setting all accessories off.
Car is 1998 VDP.

The switch is located inside the lock housing in the trunk lid.
However, I don't think it should be your first target, they normally freeze "lights off", never heard they cause "lights on" all the time.

Read the 2 links KC gave above, and there are more if you search.
First 2 causes are a battery going bad, and the alarm sounder corroded.

After that, you will need to go very systematic, group by group, item by item.
Measuring the values of the drain, and post them here might help guiding you.

Another common problem is the small door that covers the ignition switch opening when the key is removed. The door signals the BPM that the key is out and starts the count down for sleep mode. You can spray a little lubricant to free it up.

Should that little door be completely closed? Mine looks half way closed. I sprayed anyway.

To properly record the current draw, you have to use two extension wires from the disconnected battery terminal (one to each disconnect side), bring them to the back seat pass the seals of the trunk and the rear door and keep the ammeter on the back seat so that you can see the reading through the closed window. Close everything and lock the car. Take the reading after one hour of the car sitting undisturbed.

It should be proper closed, but the only real way to know is to see if your car enters a full sleeping mode.
In the proper multi-meter set-up, you will see the first modules switching off after some 15 min, then a further step-dropping of the Amperage when the final modules go to sleep.
My car reached full sleeping mode within 1/2 hour.

You can also open all doors and trunk, then use a rod or screw driver to "lock" each one by pushing the locking pin to its closed position.
Some cars might also have a open-switch on the bonnet, take care.

This will let the car think all is closed, so the car will go into sleeping mode.
This comes in handy in your next step, if you have to pull the fuses one by one, of which a lot are under the rear seat.

Just be careful, I used red tape on the door latches to prevent myself from closing the doors during an old man's fart moment...
