Default Cam cover gasket set (cheap)

The 1999 XJR I picked up a couple weeks ago had an oil leak from the left up rear cam cover. Removed the cover and the cause was obvious; the gasket had slipped out of the groove and been crushed when the cover was (over)tightened. Looked online and found cover gasket kit was $200+, Looked on EBay and found this set for $31.80. Figured I'd take a chance at that price. Wasn't crazy about the "Made in China" label, but it appears to fit well. Ebay search was for 1999 Jaguar XJR. Invoice when I received it said Ford. No matter. Appears it will work fine.

Personally, I have not had success with aftermarket gaskets and seals as they tend to fail early. Use the Jaguar OEM parts for longevity and correct fit.

Good to know. The Felpro set is still under $50.
