Default Cold start whistle noise?

There’s a subtle whistle noise from a cold start.
Apart from that whistle sound, how does the engine sound?
  1. the car is LPG converted if that helps.
  2. 1998, 3.2. 95k miles. Daily driven 9000 miles since ownership.
  3. Due a service in 1000 miles.
  4. Sparkplugs were replaced a few 1000 miles ago.

It's probably the secondary air pump which runs for a couple of minutes to help burn the extra fuel.

That momentary noise could be tensioner activation. Stop watch it, and see if it's shorter on a hot start?
