Question door light problem

Hello again. I have another issue i was hoping you guys can help with on my 03 xjr. when i open the passenger front door the dome and door lights come on as expected but wheni open the driver door nothing. also the rear lights behind the backseats dont come on either. I wasnt sure if a certain fuse covers thes items. I haven't done the simple thing as checking the bulbs yet since i think on at least the front door it has something to do with a switch of some sort since the dome light works just not when i open the driver door. Thanks again

Hi jagman
Here is another forum thread on the door light switch problem and possible resolution:
https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/j...ts-work-47379/

Sounds like you need to use some spray clean (WD40?) and also spray some silicone into the door latch mechanism where the door switch microswitch is located.

Read the posts in the thread.

Realizing this is an old post, but it was really helpful today. Contact cleaner, compressed air, and several cycles of the door latch solved this problem. New to Jaguar with 2007 XJ8, to this forum, and grateful for this guidance. Thank you.

You will probably find more pertinent information regarding your car in the X350 forum.
