Default Engine Assembly information

Hi All,

I looking for a engine assembly information for my '99. I downloaded the latest JTIS and while that has a lot of information, it is lacking meat on the engine itself. Are my search skills letting me down and this information is right in front of me? Anyway, if someone could direct me to an online engine resource I'd very much appreciate it.

Thanks in advance,

Post your question on the XJ (X308) forum and you will get help. This is the XJ6 forum.

Bruce,

I've moved your question from X300 section to X308 section. members here with the same model as you have will be able to advise.

I would advise you to consider a used replacement engine instead of a full rebuild- much, much cheaper.

I'm sure you're right, I was just looking for head removal/replacement...torque settings, specs, rtc.

Thanks, much!

AH- just the heads? That's definitely doable- Engine course
That should give you all the info you need.

I uploaded my student guide 168 that I had made into a .pdf at a copy store.

It is in the large file section.

I also have the Engine Course 180 but it is ONLY the V8.

You're welcome.

The information about an engine can be found in XK8 section of JTIS It's a well-known bug

Do a search for "extract" on this forum, and you find pdf extracts of many engine jobs. I am doing head gaskets right now and all the info is in the JTIS extracts. Many thanks to Jim Lombardi.
