Default first round first problems

hi to all I drove the xj8 and I have questions for the experts 1 alternator not charged after a round of 100 km the battery has been in charge many hours (new battery 74 AMP and 670) what to check? when I try to exceed 4000 rpm rips out and does not rise in revolutions injectors? in the cold, before ignition do I feel vibrations in the driver's seat? I put new speakers to the front doors and the sound improved and I will change those at the post I mounted all the LED lights in the interior and I like it, I want to change the lights of the mirrors inside the sunshades who helps me to find the lamps? the petrol signaler marks over the reserve when it is full to check?

Hi Roldano,

Your questions are not totally clear (you should have listed them as

1. Alternator Charge - the alternator is probably faulty but, being Nippondenso, it is very easy to repair; you probably need to replace its Rectifier and maybe Voltage Regulator; if the carbon brushes look worn, replace them too. You can get these parts at https://store.alternatorparts.com/ni...tor-parts.aspx, find Rectifier INR742P, Voltage Regulator IN9218HD and brushes 3982033 using the "Search" window on the website.

2. I understand that the engine will not go above 4000 rpm and that you always feel vibration. This can be caused by a bad spark plug, bad ignition coil or bad injector so the engine is running on 7 cylinders. To determine what exactly is a fault, you will need to get one of those OBD diagnostic tools for Jaguar (you can get the simple ones cheap, like Actron CP9575 or Icarsoft i930.

3. What do you mean by "
the petrol signaler marks over the reserve"? Do you mean the needle of the gauge is always at the reserve position?

yes the signal does not mark well I have the full and at the first ignition marks reserve then turn off the light and after 30 km marks just half tank

The fuel level sender is replaced by removing the liner from the boot, then remove the cover plate on the wall of the fuel tank. But the tank must be less than 1/4 full, which may be hard to determine with a faulty sender.

the indicator must necessarily be replaced can not be adjusted / recalibrated and where to buy a link please, in Italy the spare parts for jaguar cost so much for no reason. tomorrow I'm going to pick up the overhauled alternator nippodenso for 270Euro too many but the speed costs, I bought the new chrome plate holder to be mounted instead of the black ones (on the black front panel the plate was mounted crooked with revetti) I mount stainless steel screws, I I took the LED light for storage compartment and I thought to remove the original phone inside the armrest and unplug the phone and with the cables to put a modern USB can be done?

in my opinion the problem arises from the fact that the old owner always used it in LPG and with the petrol tank almost empty and in that way precociously wear out both the tank and its parts: pump filter pressure regulator indicator and unfortunately injector
