Default Fuel tank removal

I have a 2000 XJ-8 Vanden Plas with a fuel flow problem the fuel pump wont run. Could it be the crank Positioning sensor? Is there an acess door for the fueltank to remove it from the trunk. So I can replace the fuel Pump. Also how do you remove the back seat Back portion?

The backseat Is held in by screws.. But not needed forthe gas tank removal..It is a big job. Tank come out into the trunk ... Hardest part for you is disconnecting the fuel lines from underneath on top of the diff.. Tank pulls out into the trunk removing few bolts and hoses ..

Default Fuel tank removal

Thanks again and again Jag_genuis . Before I try and remove the fuel tank and get to the pump.
I disconnected the connector on top of the Blue cap on the fuel tank and had someone turn the key to on and check with a volt meter from the connector (4 places all four sockets one at a time and it appears that there is no current going to the fuel pump)to ground) I swapped out the fuel pump relay and checked fueses under the hood in the trunk and behind the kick panels under the rear seat.) There is current to the fuel pump relay any suggestions.

plug everything back in.. and while your cranking if it cranks.. find the schrader valve on the fuel line.. drivers side front under hood and uncscrew the blue cap and push the vlave in with a screw driver and see if fuel comes out.. will spray a little .. cover your eyes

Engine does crank,no fuel at schraeder valve. No voltage at the pump. Have 12v at the Relay on the coil side when key is on no voltage on the switch side of the relay.

Do you know how to remove the white fuel line going into the tank? I easily removed the red ones, but the white one will not come out without me breaking it.

OP -are you saying there's 12 V across the pump relay coil, 12V input to the relay contacts
but 0v output with the relay connected?
In that case swap the relay for another of the same colour and see if that corrects things.
If not please post exactly what volts on each relay pin with it connected.
