Hello,from Bay Bulls,Newfoundland,Canada. I just purchased a 1998 XJ8 Jaguar from Texas. The drivers headrest won't go down. I'm thinking it is seized. Anyone on here can give me some advice.Thanks.

My passenger side headrest is the same. My drivers side also tilts forward, but the passenger one is fixed OR stuck.

Fortunately never had a problem with the headrests on my XJ8L but I'll stick my neck out on this one and throw in a suggestion.

Headrests are a regular failure on the XK8. If the mechanism is the same on the XJ8, this thread could get you started:

I was half guessing about the XJ8 being the same setup as the XK8 and didn't want to wander too far down the wrong path if I was just misleading the OP.
