Yes replace the turn signal switch. It's expensive at around $250.
Report back when you get this done.
Remember any used parts at this late date will also be worn so I would only use a new switch.

Before condemning the switch remove the covers and the switch and check for loose or chafed wiring. Jag electrics work by providing ground to activate. If a wire is slightly touching a ground source it will activate when hitting bumps or potholes. The covers are not difficult to remove.
The wire(s) usually break off the soldered terminals in the base from constant movement of the multi-function switch.
Resolder or check for other faults. Might need a new one but sometimes you can repair the broken one??

You can forget about repairing it. I have taken a number of switches apart and successfully repaired just about all of them...for a while.
The turn signal switch is a high use/wear item and probably has thousands of operating cycles on it by now.
I speak from experience you will be time and frustration ahead to just replace it with a new factory Jaguar switch if you can get it.
From what you posted I don't think you can do any repairs yourself? So factor in another repair cost if your tech goes the repair route.
Now if I am wrong and you can DIY then give it a shot. It's a good learning experience for sure!
Lots of little spring loaded bits to fool with and nice brittle plastic too.
Many other cars with this same problem only have aftermarket chinese made replacements which will work but again for how long?
It's your choice.
