I bought the pigtail that directly connects to the new pump. So doing it that way, I will have to solder the pigtail wiring to the ecm side of the wiring?
If I understood correctly. You have a flying leads. If so you have to either find a correct connector to the car side of the loom. Or remove oe connector and solder wires to the loom. I might do the same thing by replacing the oe connector alltogether with common universal 2 pin connector pair. Let say amp junior power timer for example. Same type of connector that is at the fuel injectors and rear lights.
If I ever do upgraded head studs, yes. But for the foreseeable future, the 1.5 psi pulley, ported blower and custom made 3.5 inch intake tube. That's it is, as far as boost goes.
With the key off, take the Allen bolt off the top of the charger lid. You can either slowly add some coolant or you can squeeze any of the radiator hoses and watch for some coolant to come all the way up to the bottom of the threads then reinstall the Allen bolt.
Do I pour coolant directly into the intercooler, or through the expansion tank? Also, does anyone know the torque spec on 19mm bolt for the intercooler?
Just an FYI, the engine coolant expansion tank would technically be the place to add coolant for the intercooler. You could also add coolant in that Allen plug hole. I would suggest something else but, if by some chance you break that plastic bleeder pipe off the intercooler radiator, then you’ll hold me responsible for suggesting it so I can’t recommend that. Remove the Allen plug and add coolant to the expansion tank and the Allen plug area until you think it can’t take anymore. Once that’s done, put the expansion tank cap back on, squeeze a main radiator hose until air can come out of the Allen plug bleed hole. After air is out, install the Allen plug then drive it up to full operating temperature (95*C) and *while driving* get it up to redline at least once if not twice. Let it cool off overnight and the next day *before starting* check your expansion tank for proper coolant lever.
To my surprise, there is coolant leaking at the bottom left front side of the car. Near the fog light. It is fresh coolant, not over spill. So, will look into that later today.
