Default Liqui Moly MoS2?

I'm considering adding this to my oil in my XJ8.

Anyone here have experience with this additive?
I use Mobil 1 High Mileage.
Have 92K miles on my Jag.

The claim is:
“Motor oil additive - Liqui Moly MoS2 anti-friction (300 ml. Can)
Forms High load-bearing film of lubricant on all friction surfaces
You will be surprised at how much better your engine sounds and how controlled it will be even at very high RPM”

Amazon Amazon

Many positive reviews.

I wonder if it is placebo effect. People may not want to admit to themselves that they spent $ on an additive & it did nothing that they could tell.

No idea, though I'm doubtful it's worth using, but the engine is good for 200K miles or so using regular oil changes and other proper servicing/maintenance.

Liqui Moly MoS2 is, according to what I have read, one of the very few oil additives that, at least, will do no harm to the engine and is probably beneficial. Engine oils actually have certain amount of MoS2 in them as a "friction modifier". Racing oils have some 500-600 ppm of it and standard oils less, ~100 ppm.

Ligui Moly MoS2 was actually developed for the German army vehicles during the WW2 (could have been the very first oil additive) - it was used to extend the oil change intervals during the time when they had trouble with getting sufficient crude oil.

I have been using it for many years and currently use it in my BMW E30 M3 racer, Ferrari 348 and Daimler Super V8. The main reason why I add MoS2 is because I am using 4T engine oil in these cars for good dose of ZDDP and, since motorcycle oils have smaller amount of friction modifiers (because of their wet clutches), I am adding MoS2 to compensate.

Myself and most of my close friends who drive big heavy luxury cars have been using it for 5 years. We all will continue using it until we can't drive anymore because we all believe it makes a difference!

I recently did...
Amazon Amazon

...and...
Amazon Amazon

I can say I had a slight knock when I fired my girl up on the cold start, that has diminished a bit since the install of the Ceratec. As for the valve cleaner, before I purchased I weighed heavily whether to buy it, since these cars are supposed to run 91-93 octane and use hot iridium plugs, buildup should be minimal to nil. So I doubt it did anything.

I have used it after seeing demonstrations at many car shows: reduces metal on metal wear. Navy jet mechanics tell me they use it for jet engines to cut wear. But . . . when I did the secondary tensioners on my XJ8L, there was hardly any wear on the camshaft and lifters -- pretty sure the previous owners used regular oil . .

I ordered Liqui Moly MoS2 anti-friction (300 ml.) from Amazon.
When it arrives I wonder if I can just add it since my oil level is full.
When I change oil & filter, my car takes exactly 8 qts. (I always let the oil drain a long time till just drips & car is level.)

For future oil changes with this LM, I suppose I should use 7 ⅔ Qt + the 300 ml of LM.

Fill the pan and take the measurement before starting it to top off for the filter. Add the LiquiMoly, cycle it, then measure again to top off.
