I found some vertical play in both lower ball joints, so I am going to replace them myself using this method:

The bush at the other end of the arm seems ok as do the other joints/bushes and I don't really want to pay for alignment if I don't have to.....

I am thinking the bottom ball joints must take quite a hammering, the movement was up and down, no play that I could detect in other planes moving the wheel/tyre, only when I levered up and down could I see the movement of the joints.....Allan
