Default New Fuel Pump ..... will not accelerate

1998 XJ8L ...just put in a new fuel pump....car starts and idles fine. when I step on the gas the car bogs down and will not accelerate...if I "baby" the gas peddle the car will not bog down but takes forever to hit 50-60 MPH. HELP !

It's possible you crimped the fuel line. Also, did you change the fuel filter?

MORE INFO??

As RJ237 asked, did you remove the fuel lines from the bottom of the tank??

People try to pull (HORSE) the tank into the boot area without disconnecting the lines.
This usually results in destruction of the lines.

ok...I did crimp the fuel line. I fixed it and the car is running great. Thank you
