Normal operating temp.
Ok I know the temp. gauges in these are not to be trusted. I'm running an OBD app to keep track, my question is what is the consensus on normal operating temp. as I want to set an alarm on the app. just in case.
Edit : My search netted nothing concrete.
Thanks

The jag is no different than any other modern cars. Minimum temperature is the T-Stat rating ( anywhere from 190 to 205) and maximum "safe" temperature is high 220/low 230
Having just replaced my lazy (opened at 140°F) old thermostat with a new 183°F one, coolant temps sometimes reach 205°F but never any higher. This might change once we get some really hot summer days. Setting your alarm at 215-220°F should be about right.
Does it have an audible alarm or is it just a flashing gauge, thanks.

Guess you set the alarm at 150 and see what happens ...
I plan on taking her out this weekend, I will report back w/ my findings lol.
That's what I was seeing with my 01. TST started to pop at about 183 - 185, fully open at 195; stable between 195 - 197 on the road; heating to 205 at lights (first fan begins to run, could feel it in the steering wheel); both fans on at 207 or AC on. Always drove temp back towards 195.
