? for owners with Milan, Montreal or other wheels with a stainless steel trim ring
I need new tires on my XJR with the Milan wheels and I'm trying to figure out how can that be done without damaging the trim.
Do the tire has to be put from the back or the front and how do the machine hold the wheel?
If the tire goes through the back, the machine need to clamp on the front lip where the stainless steel trim is.
I know that they have some plastic/Teflon "adapter" that they can put on the machine fingers but it's hard to imagine that the pressure to hold the wheel will not dent the trim.
Any experience or feedback?
thanks

I've had my XJR-100 with the 19-inch Montreals for over 10 years and never had a problem with the trim rings being damaged when I had new tires mounted. The problem comes in when you've had a few pints and a curb jumps in front of you ...
