Wow, exactly what I'm looking for. The original remote control of my X308 from 1998 is defective and cannot be revived. It's a LJA2610BA

So I bit the bullet & gave this vendor a whirl, it programmed 1st attempt & included the battery already installed. It also has a smaller footprint for less bulk in the pocket, I deem this a win for sub $50.
Hello, I'm reviving an old thread here to ask if anyone has recent success using an aftermarket fob to replace their non-working Jaguar fob in the US? The ebay links in the thread no longer take you to an active listing or help identify the vendor. This is for a 2002 XJ8/Super V8 in the USA market. The back of mine reads LJE2610AB - CWTWB1U322 - CAN 1788 102 354.
A search for CWTWB1U222 or LJE2610AB on ebay or google pulls up some cheap options like the link below but when you look at each listing for compatibility it actually says it's not compatible with Jaguar. Or the search brings up used Jaguar fobs which may be an option I'll explore. Or does anyone know of a company offering fob repair in the US? My car came with 2 fobs and 4 tibbe keys. One fob works some of the functions and the 2nd one doesn't work at all even with fresh batteries. Thanks for any input. Cheers.

@xalty, thanks, I'll try one of those Ford 4 button remotes for my 2002. Do you know if I would need to program my existing remote (the one that works for some functions) at the same time I'm programming the Ford 4 button one?

The CA is an update of the AA, you see this a lot on automotive parts. It could be anything from different plastic to better cold solder points.

After some sleuthing, here is the likely SLM cutover VIN. The later SLM goes for about $150 USD on eBay. The earlier ones are about half that. So if you have an earlier SLM, you could spend $150 on an SLM so you can use a pair of $8 Fobs.
