Hi folks-
I'm the owner of a 2005 XK8 and am getting an itch to buy a 2001-2003 XJR, which is still an absolutely gorgeous car. Prices are these are really low and I'm just waiting for the prefect one. I've spent hours reading this forum (I spend most of my time on the XK8 page) and have a good sense of the things to look out for. One question that inst clear is on interior space. I know that the space is more cramped than the X350 (which I've also owned) but I'm not sure by how much? For those that have owned an XK8, can you tell me if the X308 is basically the interior space of an XK8 with a full back seat? I can find the interior dimension online but am hoping i can get input form actual current and former owners.

In recent years I've gone from:

1. 1996 X300
2. 2000 XJ8L
3. 2001 XK8
4. 2005 XK8
5. 2007 XK

The standard wheelbase X300 was much same in the front as the X308 but the long wheelbase XJ8L with four inches extra legroom in the rear was always welcomed by passengers.

Leaving aside questions of the rear seat, the XK8 is much more compact inside. Certainly the front seat space doesn't feel anywhere near as roomy as the X308.
