Default Spacer size for big brake fitment

I had a set of brembos from a xjr100 for sale, but I decided to put them on my car instead. Everything went OK except that the wheel is not deep enough to fit.

I know that some people have encountered this and so I would like to ask what size spacer they used.

this is what I am looking at right now.

I don't know the answer to your question but, if you tried getting your wheel on, how far away is the rim hub from the spindle hub? Between 1 & 2 inches??

I used 20mm spacers with the Pentas to clear Brembos.

+1, ....1/2" is at least what I'm going to need when I do mine with the Pentas.

1/2" (12.7mm) might just barely be enough to clear but will leave very little if any clearance between the spoke and caliper.

I bought 1.25" spacers just to be sure they would fit. They definitely do. I think i could replace them with 20mm one's.

Stance is on point though!

Did you just do the front or the back also to square the stance?

Can you take a pic from the side, from a couple feet away? I've never seen the Brembo brakes behind asteroid wheels

Will do tomorrow or whenever I get the brakes all on.

For now, there is only one spacer on the front drivers side wheel. I am installing the passenger side brakes tomorrow.
I have to see what is going on in the rear...but yeah i need to even it out. It looks kind of funny as is.

However, it is my commuter. I only go fast straight. For the curvies I use my Acura NSX!

I bought big spacers so that I could be sure the wheel would fit and get it out of the driveway. Likely I will buy smaller ones now that It is mobile and I have a better idea of the proper size.

The spacers were only $69.99 and seem to be pretty solid.

Question:

DO I NEED SPACERS IN THE REAR TO CLEAR THE BIG BRAKES TOO?????

From what Luc told me awhile back, the rears do not need the spacers. But I would want a square stance and would install them because of that.

Here is our conversation a couple years ago and his links to his pics and previous posts on it....https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...wanted-128967/

hi, could you kindly tell me which spacers did you get ? I have a set of h&r (15mm) on each side and I am having problems...they don't fit because the nuts don't sink into the spacer (lug to long). Did you happen to cut down the stud ?
cheers
