Default Speed sensor wont come out

So i was trying to remove the front passenger side sensor when the bolt desided to snap in half. However the other half of the bolt is no longer holding the sensor but still the sensor would not come out from the small hole. I sprayed wd40 and tried to pry it out with a flat heard but it stock in there pretty good. Any ideas how i could get it out w/out braking it? Thank you all in advance.

Hi newuser

Have you tried tapping the sides of the sensor (using a small block of wood and soft taps to the wood from a carpenter hammer)?

Maybe the tapping will cause enough vibrations to dislodge it.

Here is a photo from the wheel sensor just after it was removed. Photo is from the wheel sensor cleaning thread:

Why do you want to get it out? Just clean the plugs and leave it alone. Maybe drag a cloth through there to wipe off any crud. Unless the resistance reads wrong, in which case force it out any way you want.

mine were a bit stuck, I could not pull them directly out, but if I tried to twist each one in the hole without pulling it out at all that broke it free every time

good luck

I don't think the piece that goes inside the hole is round so twisting it maight not be an option. If i remember correctly by looking at one of the others its kind of square-ish.
