Default torque specs for the output shaft assy on differential...

I am changing the REAR DIFFERENTIAL OUTPUT SHAFT
and its actually quite easy. Mine sounded like rocks rolling around, But I need to know how tight I should get the assembly. I enclosed a picture so one can see what I am talking of.
I have alldata but they dont show much on that part, let alone anything on that differential.

Why did you remove the entire assy?????????????????
That threaded part sets the crown wheel to the pinion laterally.

To renew the bearing, you just remove the snap ring, slide it out and replace the stub axle/bearing. Renew the outer 'O'ring, then make sure the shims are still in place.
Put the snap ring back and you are done.

You need to put the threaded aluminum collar back 'WHERE IT WAS'!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Did you mark it??????

Thanks!
For the other guy, bearing froze and spun in the collar hence changing the whole thing. Been a mechanic for 37 years now. Think I have a slight grasp on things.
And sure, anything you have on that rearend would be great. Nothing in alldata or Mitchell about it
