Default Transmission and engine holding back with traction control on...

I imagine I am not the only one seeing this as my import mechanic says all XJR's (just about} do it.....while flooring gas at a dry start the engine hesitates massing up the launch...the amber light in the speedometer circle turns on as the engine holds back...making for a not very smooth execution during hard takeoffs...again with traction control off it seems to disappear....will drive a bit more and see..have had the car back from repairs only a short while..but it did this even with the old engine...

comments...anyone been able to fix...or something I need tro live with?

aldo car is smoking only one tire on take offs; doesn't a XJR have factory positraction?

thanks in advance....

THATS THE PURPOSE OF TRACTION CONTROL, ITS SENSES TIRE SPIN AND THROUGH TORQUE LIMITING STRATEGY IN THE ECU, AND TCM STOPS IT. DONT LIKE IT, TURN OFF TRAC CONTROL, AND YES RESETS WITH EACH KEY CYCLE, 1 TIRE SPIN, YES POWER LOCK IN DIFF IS WORN OUT

YOULL NEED TO TALK TO A DIFF, OR REAR END REBUILDER, JAGUAR ONYL SUPPLIES COMPLETE UNIT, OR ASK KEN IF HE CAN GET THE PARTS AND HAVE SOMEONE DO. BUT I KNOW HE PROBOBLY ALSO SUPPLIES REBUILT DIFFS, AND WOULD BE A BETTER WAY TO GO THAN HAVING SOMEONE REBUILD YOURS THAT MAY OR MAY NOT BE GOOD

Brutal, "1 TIRE SPIN, YES POWER LOCK IN DIFF IS WORN OUT"
I've been told this whole time X308s have full open diffs. Is that not true? They have some sort of a locking mechanism? It's not like a regular LSD, I take it, right?

Salsa, Ken's username is "ken@britishparts", he's a helpful guy who works at (owns? iono) a Jag/LR parts warehouse in TX.
