Hello everyone, for some reason my XJR is having issues at first start. In cold weather or if I dont leave it running for at least 5 minutes it acts up. It will give me a Transmission Failure on the dash and won't shift out of first. If left running for a while it will run and drive fine. When it acts up and I put it in drive it gives a jerk.

 

What DTC (if any) is stored in the TCM?

 

check fluid level

bad 13 pin connector sleeve can also cause a bunch of weird issues

 

The W5A580, 722.6 or NAG1 have the problem xalty mentioned.

I gave a copy of the Jaguar TSB to a customer that also had a Chrysler 300 with a leaking gearbox.
The gearbox leak turned out to be exactly that.
