Transponder Problem on 2002 XJ8
Morning One and All,
Does anyone know which SDD/IDS Diagnostic Program I need to program
the key transponder on a 2002 car (Fitted with the ID48 chip) ? I've tried SDD but it automatically opens the Legacy IDS - being an older car. When I go through the 'Program New Transponder' section I receive a box stating -
"Error: mode or command not supported".
I'm presuming that this has something to do with this being a later car with the 'rolling' code ID48 chip, as opposed to the earlier ID13 ??
I'm currently running V125 SDD/IDS but am also able to use V130. Does anyone know if that later version will help, or indeed have any advice on how to carry out procedure (can ID48 be cloned for example ?). I currently only have one working key.
