Just as the title says. I have found absolutely nothing in the aftermarket world for this motor. Heads, cams, forced induction ect. I did find headers from germany 800 each. Been thinking on doing an ls1 conversion just for the parts.

If you want performance I suggest starting with an XJR.. there are plenty of performance options, just search the forum. "performance" is also a relative term- do you want 370HP, 600HP or 1000HP?

Only way to go. Reliable, Tons of cheap NA power and decent gas mileage. Good luck getting any those from a Ajunk-V8.

They're not bad out the box (R versions). They're an English saloon/GT engine from the 90's, not FoMoCo/GM....which means absolutely no market.

There are however a few pioneers in respect of LS thumping bhp.

Twin screw kits are a realistic way of exploiting these engines. Custom parts aren't as easy to buy or make compared to US mass market cars. But they're out there on this forum.

Yeah, those pushrod Chevy engines are pretty cool. You could go one step further and drop in a Ford flathead V8. They make tons of aftermarket parts for them. ;^)

1000hp would be great! I been looking into the LS1 kit and tranny so to build more of a muscle car. Ive had a few bracket drag cars and might do the same with this. Dare I say it would be such a relief to rid myself of the ZF trans? the permit burn scar on my right forearm from filling the transmission pan says "yes" in my book.

I always find it interesting when forum members are so interested in boosting
horsepower and performance. While I find the Duchess yields all the thrills I
currently require...there was a time when I spent more money on engine and
transmission upgrades for an SS Camaro than I am ashamed to say. Looking
back on those days with fondness, yet wishing I had possessed more wisdom.
