Default 1990 Jag Vanden Plas 4.0L Complete Rewiring

My two sons and I have three 1990 Jaguar XJ6's we are making one nice one from the three. The main one we are using had caught on fire burning the drivers side under the stearing column quite severely. Also on the firewall on the drivers side in the engine compartment slightly. We have the dash and everything removed from the car. We have a hayes manual that is not much help to me so far, I oredered a windows based service manual from e-bay hopefully that will help us more. The main thing we are needing to know is can the wiring be split somewhere in the middle of the car without actually cutting and splicing wires. Im trying to keep the splicing to a minimum. There are many junctions or plugs. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I'm suffering from actual wiring nightmares!! (Im serious)! Thank you all very much, Patrick and my sons Patrick Jr. and Jesse.

Thank you Richard, I just recieved my factory service manual for the Jaguar lookes very good as far as drawings of schematics. Pretty sure wiring from tail lights to the front headlights has to be changed! Thank you for advice. Patrick.
