Is this the correct fuse to pull in order to do a compression check? I would've posted this in the x300 model section but that seems to be non existent for whatever reason.
fuse F10, (JDS?), FUEL PUMP, RELAY COILS
Well I'm not sure why you can't find the x300 forum, but why not pull the fuse and see if the car starts? If it doesn't, you should be good to go, right?

Larry
it's not on any list im looking at. Using this on a phone, might as well Login on my computer. And the last time I pulled it and tried that, I guess I blew my damn starter Fuse and I'm not about to do that again. I have no replacements

Well why not pull all the plugs out then? For sure the car wouldn't start and you could proceed with your compression test, right?
With the late XJ40's like mine, we just pull the oxygen sensor heater relay on the firewall. That stops the fuel pump running. I don't think I've ever pulled a fuse in 10 years!
Pulling that F10 would work, but easier to reach F7 (30A) in the trunk which is the main fuel pump feed. Or you could pull the blue fuel pump relay which is the one in the green socket in the trunk box.
JDS = Jaguar Diagnostic System, the OBD port power supply.
X300 section is back! Don't know where it might have gone, but the forums are unbelievably difficult to use on a phone.
..... the forums are unbelievably difficult to use on a phone.
According to forum owner, Internet Brands it is 'optimised' for phone and tablet viewing. On the rare occasions I'm forced to use my phone for the forum, I set it to Full Forum from the menu at the top left so it looks the same as it does on a PC or laptop.
I couldn't rotate the phone to landscape and show the PC monitor in the same shot but I'm sure you'll get the idea!
