Default ABS valve block - What is part # JLM 11336?

The ABS in my '90 Sovereign requires repair in that one of the 6 solenoids is not working. I've seen various posts where folks have removed the solenoids, cleaned, and rewired the unit. Bottom line: I don't want to go down this path and would prefer to replace it. Jaguar part # JLM 11336 is listed in a Technical Bulletin as a "Valve Block Repair Kit". My local dealer doesn't have it in stock and can't tell me what's included though he can get it in a couple of days. He's willing to more or less match on-line pricing of around $300 but won't let me return the part if it's not what I want.

Does anyone know what exactly is included for the referenced part number?

Why not just find a good-used part in a salvage yard and put it on the car?
I'm pretty sure the 1990-1992 units are all the same.

Hi Tony,

How did you determine that one of the solenoids is not working?

Cheers,

Don

I applied 12v to each. All but one emitted a firm click whereas the sixth merely hummed. Sounds like it's sticking (?). I also have a spare valve block which has been sitting for years; 3 solenoids clicked and the other 3 made no sound. I'm thinking that could be due to damaged wiring and/or failed valves. In either case, I'd prefer to replace with a new unit as that is my policy with this car, it being a daily driver with many years of service left in her (just recently picked it up and it has only 38k miles).
