Default Check out that rack.

So bright and early before the mrs could get up and interrupt me, I decided to spend a little quality time with my car. I already had it up on stands to swap out the winter tires and am waiting for a new set of rotors but decided to tackle the shock bushings for the 4th time. Even though they didn’t look bad I was getting the same clunk I had in the past and again only on the dirt road to my house.

Yes guys I take my car off the pavement and up into the hills of New Mexico where I live. Honestly. It sees more off-road time than most of the 4x4 bro trucks and Jeeps.

That being said since I was already on the ground getting dirty I wanted to check out the rest of the suspension while I was there. Grabbed the rotor to give things a good shake and found out that my Steering tack was super loose. 1 nut and bolt was already gone and the other was about 30% unthreaded. I found the source of my clunk and now will be off to the store tomorrow to find some new hardware.

FWIW they are grade 12.9. While I didn’t get to the other side to see them they will all be getting replaced. Just got to say I did not expect that today and I’m all my years working unless someone had been there I can’t say I’ve seen these come loose.
