From your photos, it looks as though it may be possible to bend the bumper components back into shape and position, but you'll definitely need a turn signal/direction indicator lamp.
You can find part diagrams and part numbers at jaguarclassicparts.com, the website of the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust. Here's an example:
You will find that many of these parts are No Longer Available (NLA) from Jaguar, so your best option may be to find good salvaged parts. If you can't find a good donor car at a salvage yard within driving distance, check eBay for sellers offering parts from a similar car and send them a message to ask if they have the parts you need.
Hi: beyond Don B's keep and repair suggestion, you can also visit you local salvage yard. Most XJ40s that I have come across have had pretty good bumpers. The chrome and rubber are usually in good shape. I've never removed one but I hear tell it's not that difficult. I saw yours had headlamp washers which is kind of rare so you might have to settle for a standard bumper. You can also try car-part.com. Good luck.
Sorry to hear this happened, especially to such a lovely car. Looking around junkyards or searching Craigslist for somebody parting out a 40 is you best bet.
Thanks for the info. Why are the headlamp washers rare?

I say that because I don't see many in the salvage yards I visit. I believe the washers came with VDP models which were the most expensive models. I could be wrong as I often am.
