Does anyone know if it is possible to see the live lambda values with the PDU for a 1996 XJR6?
My WDS stops after one second datalogger, and in the PDU datalogger I can only find live coolant and air temperature and airflow but no lambda. It is running rough when stationary, can do TPS reset but failing to do o2 sensor orientation. Now working my way to the throttlebody as I think it is getting false air.

Maybe somebody knows, maybe It have to try a different disc.

We had a chart on the dealer wall above the PDU so looking for the correct disc was at a glance.
I wish the dealer did not destroy all the PDU and WDS systems they had when they became obsolete.
I offered to buy but they took a hammer to all of it!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Default Communication failue PDU

Hello!

Today I was going to do a troubleshooting on my Daimler 1990 with PDU. Unfortunately, there was a communication failue between the diagnostic socket and the PDU. I changed the communication cable between the socket and the PDU and cleaned the connectors but it doesn't help. Is there anyone in the forum who has had similar problems and how did you troubleshoot?

I had a similar problem with a new-to-me PDU. Opened it up and found a surface mount signal diode broken in half. The diode was inline with one of the output pins. No idea how it happened. Desoldered the remnants, and soldered in a diode with leads to the surface mount pads. PDU worked perfectly after that. Worth a try. A magnifying glass helped. There are several of the diodes there, so multiple opportunities for failure. The broken diode was fairly obvious once I looked closely.

For me it was my VBA, although the LEDs lights up there were broken wires inside the banana plug. I opened the power unit and measured if all red wires had 12V and the all the grounds were grounded. For me I had a broken 12V power.

I found this issue after I bought a second PDU system to check.

I have two PDUs and two VBAs. I have tested in different variants but there are still communication failure between the car and the PDU.

The next step must be to measure between the diagnostic socket and socket LB134 which is located inside the coupe. Is it a continuity measurement to check that the cable is intact or is it possible to measure the signals in another way?

I also had that issue at one point. Very common.

I've used an osciloscope to check both for the L line signal, and the K line. The L line is a wake up used on some, but not all of the modules. The K line is the main signal line.
