Default TPS question

The TPS on my 1993 is dead, also any used ones i have found are also not up to spec. I have a good one out of my 1990 that check out fine, the only problem is that they have different plugs(which i can change) the wires are the same colors but what i dont know is if they go to the same parts of the cpu. Thanks for any help on this

Hi Lumppy47,

You can download the Electrical Guides for the 1990 and 1993 MYs at the links below so you can compare the wiring and make the appropriate connections:

1990 Electrical Guide:

1993 Electrical Guide:
http://www.jagrepair.com/images/Auto...ec%20Guide.pdf

In the meantime, have you tried prying off the cover of your original TPS or drilling drain holes to flush it out with electrical contact cleaner spray? Here's a link to photos showing how I did it on our '93:

Welcome to Jag-lovers - Members Photo Viewing Page

Please let us know how it goes!

Cheers,

Don
