it depends what section, if you mean the 6 pieces from the fuel rail to the intake, then there are six pieces each measuring about 5" long. (better longer than shorter, as you can always cut the excess, but you can't stretch them if too short).
in my experience, those are the ones that deteriorate. The rest I've never had to replace so I wouldn't know.
On a side note, I visited your web site. May I ask where you sourced the driving light/yellow fog light combo and have you been happy with it's performance? Wouldn't think you'd have much fog in FL. Great idea with the Euro spec light selection switch, and various hole plugs.
Low Pressure:
Trunk/Boot - Changeover Pump Ø7/16" x 4 feet, 6 clamps
High Pressure (100 psi):
Rail-Injectors - Rail-Metal Tube (behind fan) tube-tube, rail-manifold Ø5/16" x 2 feet, 12 clamps
Pump to tube, tube to nonreturn valve, valve to filter, filter to tube Ø5/16" x 4 feet, 8 clamps
return to top of nonreturn valve Ø1/4" x 2 feet, 2 clamps
supply tube to rail (exhaust side under bonnet) Ø3/8" 3 feet, 6 clamps
This should get you close to replacing most hoses.
hi Jeff and thanks.
believe it or not I purchased those lamps at Walmart back around 1997. They came in a complete kit with relays, wiring, and a double lighted switch (Fog / Spot), which I did not use. They have been totally reliable, never a burnt quartz bulb.Their projection is superb. I remember in the 1960's when there were Cibies and Marchals and Hellas, these are as good or better.
The good news? They are still being made and are stock equipment on a line of Motorhomes out of California. I don't know if they sell them as a kit but at least they have the same lamps.Attaching them under bumper in the XJ is a piece of cake, all you need is two wide "L" brackets and two self-tapping screws, unless you want to use existing bolts under the bumper. which I did.
Since the XJ is factory-wired for Fog lamps, all you need is to wire the Spot/Driving lights with a relay and a switch.
With the European Headlights switch you can control both the Fogs and Spots combined with or without the Headlights, directly from the switch..
The driving and fog lights are very powerful. 60/55 watts. We do get real heavy fog in Central Florida during January thru March. The yellow fogs can be seen at quite a distance, they do penetrate the heavy fog.
I will get you the link to them. I posted it in another thread not too long ago.
Thanks!! They will make a nice upgrade. I added these and the headlight dash switch to the To-Do list. The list is growing...but need to find a car first.
