Default Broken speedometer cable XJ6 -81 LHD

Hi
I just replaced some light bulbs in both speedo and tachometer.
The speedo needle has been a little wiggly (in low speeds) so I suspected a bad speedo cable a long time before changing the bulbs.

A short while after, the speedo completely stopped working. The cable is totaly broken off next to the angle gear.

My angle gear has a plate with a slit pointing upwards, the slit could possibly fit a "position-pin" in the lower half backside of the speedo,
but it i doesnt because it´s pointing in the wrong direction and the angle gear has a very long connection to the speedo (or position pin to short)
The angle gear points to he right (LHD-car)

Questions:
Do I have the right kind of angle gear?
Is my cable routing correct?
Where can I order the correct parts?

Regards
Martin

From this [not outstanding] illustration the angle drive looks correct....but the length of the stem obviously isn't shown

Well, model year designations can vary from country to country and the electric speedo wasn't phased in on all cars at the same time.

USA and Canadian cars got the electric speedo at VIN 331xxx
Elsewhere, VIN 335xxx

For the USA market 1982 model year commenced with 330273.....which would likely have August-September 1981 on the calendar.

Elsewhere....who knows?

Thanks for the reply!
That angle gear would fit my speedo, the slit in the plate match the position pin, and without the stem the length of position pin is enough.
But unclear how to fasten it to the speedo without a cap nut?
Also the picture show that the cable goes to the left, is that correct for a LHD?

Hi
My VIN is older than Elsewhere VIN 335xxx and seems to be sold as new in Sweden (=elsewhere...) so that explains the cable/electric speedo issue.
Thanks for the info !

The nut isn't shown in the illustration. A replacement angle drive will have a nut
