I'm not aware of any of the 'usual suppliers' offering a stiffer spring.
Seems to me that there's an outfit in Australia offering upgraded springs for many cars, including Jags. "King Springs" or something like that?
If you find something you like for a V12 XJS it should be OK in your car. I have XJS springs in mine....but they're just standard issue; nothing special

I used springs from an 89 XJS Coupe. They're a bit softer than I wanted but the ride height is good....which can be a real problem getting right when changing springs.
Doesn’t feel too floaty ?
Floaty, no, not by my estimation. But replacing KYB shocks with Bilsteins gave me the degree of firmness I was looking for.
Not sure what you're after, exactly, but adding a rear anti-roll bar gives a lot of improvement overall. I recommend performance-oriented shocks and a rear ARB first. If you still want more you can then go thru the effort of a spring change.
[FYI this is the outfit in Australia that Doug was referring to:- In Australia is a Spring company named King Spring. They have front springs calibrated for a 1987 Jaguar XJ6 with a small block Chevy motor if that interests you? For your review try E-bay item # 150718241873. JAGUAR XJ6 W/350 CHEV 1968-86 SEDAN FRONT "LOW" 30mm LOWERED COIL SPRINGS. Last time I tried to order anything from this company. I could not complete the order because of Covid restrictions. You might want to contact the company direct to see if they are up and running yet. Your spring rate changes with the weight change.] This information was offered by one of the members, Larry Louton.
They might offer stiffer springs also if that's what you're looking for.

I’m looking to possibly purchase a car from someone and the springs and shocks seems very tired.
is it possible to get new springs and shocks that are either oem or stiffer ?
thanks

hi: reach out to member "Greg in France". With his help, I purchased and installed adjustable rear shocks from GAZ in my 87 xj6. i also installed europarts springs. this upgrade really made a difference. i chronicled my install here so feel free and look my rear shock posts up. the swap is very straight forward. Greg uses them in his xjs to do spirited time trials with his club. i just installed the rear shocks/springs but GAZ also sells adjustable front shocks which i did not go for. i installed a pair of kyb shocks in the front. i am pleased. the overall stance of the car looks good too. nice car too. i have the same color. ren
I just happen to have a pair of OEM V12 front springs, that you can have for the cost of shipping.
They're doing no one any good in my attic. PM me if you're interested.

I tried to get a set of King Springs out of Australia for the longest time, Gave up and went with Simpley Perfomance with great results. Lowered overall height by 1 and 1/2 inch with one inch sway bar up front and 3/4 inch sway bar from Addco in rear. The front bar bolted right in with lowering of subframe, motor mounts and subframe mounts went in at same time. Rear bar was a lot of work due to XJS designation, But goes around a corner with Bilstien B6
shocks like a pancake on a string. Larry Louton 1985 Jaguar Sovereign European delivery version. Claradon Blue with Doeskin interior. I have better pictures somewhere.
Lovely car! In fact lovely cars! When I bought mine (30 years ago) it felt a bit like a boat on corners. I swapped the dampers to Spax and that was a great improvement. I'd be inclined to work in stages and stop when you're happy: change dampers first, then add/stiffen anti-roll (sway) bars and leave springs to last. There's a risk of losing the great ride and, though lowering the car is nice, there's a risk of grounding, especially as our cars are already low to the ground and have a longish wheelbase.
I wonder if XJS Sportspack springs are available. Apparently they are 43% stiffer at the front and 3% at the rear.
No OEM springs are available; but many aftermarket ones are, least in the UK. Also, there is a firm in the UK who will wind springs for you to your own spec. These are not as expensive as you might think, either, I have a set from them on my XJS.
You might be surprised to know that Jaguar have lost ALL, repeat all their OEM springs rate and length data. However, this firm does have the original specs, or at least some of them for classic Jaguar cars, so they can make spings stiffer than the OEM specs from known starting point data.
