Default How much is leather

Applying some treatment to the leather on front and rear seat facings, 1975 series 2 xj6 ....just wondering how much leather is in the interior, are the seat backs, and door trim leather? Like to know how far I should go treating leather, but not if its vinyl

Only the seat surfaces where you sit and the headrests Mick. All the rest is vinyl. Oh, and the rear center armrest that folds down.

I got tired of the leather cracking and found a set of all vinyl Biscuit seats front and rear.
After all, 90% of the interior was vinyl from the factory.

Cheers thanks Bill. Id say top of the back seat vinyl too from the feel of it

Yes, if it's a smooth panel it's vinyl. I've seen some where the pleats rolled over the top of the back, the pleats would be leather, but I don't think that is factory. BTW... my favorite grease is Gliptone, it seems to work as well or better than any of the others but with a really nice smell, use it on my boots and belts too. Second choice is Leatherique but I hardly use it anymore. IMHO...

Can anyone recommend a good Jag interior shop around the midatlantic area, US?
Need complete leather 1971 XJ6 original interior.
Thanks, I've been striking out!

I am not aware of another shop with reputation among Jag owners.
All others are far, or not interested, or don't reply to inquiries, etc., etc.

Smell of vinyl sucks. Nothing like leather. Buy from England.
