Default LT1 A/C

My LT1 is out a 96 Caprice. I have a new condenser, compressor, expansion valve and drier for Camaro. There a couple of differences that I was hoping someone could ease my mind about.

Caprice uses an orifice tube (14); Camaro has the expansion valve block (31). Which one is best to use? I have exp. block, but I'm not sure about where/how to hook it in prior to the evaporator. If trading it for the tube is best, I'll need the hose to be large enough to accommodate it, as the drier ports are much smaller on the Camaro than the Caprice.

Compressor pressure cycling switch (3) is mounted on the drier of a Caprice. No such switch is listed on the Camaro system. Is this switch critical to the system? Will the PCM not allow the AC to operate if it does not receive a signal from it?

Caprice had the refrigerant pressure sensor (13) mounted in the compressor to condenser tube. Camaro has it between the drier & evaporator (26). Figured on splicing it into the hose system there.

The systems run somewhat different, but am not concerned about that. The drier follows the condenser in the Camaro, but follows the evaporator in the Caprice. Doesn't matter.

Top half of this pic is of the Camaro service manual; bottom half from the Caprice.
