New here. I have an LT1 6 speed XJS if anyone needs help.
Not too many of us around so if you have any questions, feel free to contact me. If you are having a problem, I've probably been there and done that...
We look forward in your comments and help is always welcome. This was my 93 xj-s http://www.gusglikas.com/93Jag.htm A few photos of your car is always welcome.
Yes they are. I've had 16 Jags so far. My 93 XJS and my 2002 XJR 100 have been my favorites so far. I've had '87,'95,'96,04,06 VDP, '98,'01 XJ8, '90,'93,'95 XJS CVT, '02 XJR100, '98 XK8 CVT, '03 XKR CVT, '04 S Type R, '05 XJR, '06 XJ8L. Yes, it's a sickness.
Thanks, I'll take that as a compliment...I have to admit when they are all out in the driveway, I may get a look or two.

any pictures of the build process? how difficult was it to do?
I know it's crazy but I have absolutely no pictures of the build. I think I took a couple of pic's of the engine before I installed. What was I thinkin'?? The install of the engine was pretty easy. I used the Jaguar Specialties kit and the wiring itself was easy as well. Only about 7 or 8 wires to be hooked from the old wiring to the new. Oil pressure, water temp, alternator, tach, fan, fuse block and computer. I used the computer from the donor Z28 I bought. I wasn't in a hurry and did it in about 4 weekends. The toughest part was finding all of the parts to hook up the hydraulic clutch. First I had to get a machine shop to fab up the trans mount I drew up because no kit has a manual trans crossmember. Then I had to fab up the hydraulic lines and the most fun part was going through about 50 slave cylinders at Auto Zone until I found one that would fit and work. I still had to play with the clutch push rod a bit to make it the right length and I had to slot the holes on the slave to make it fit the chevy housing. Three years later and it's still working great. Haven't been happy with the choice of clutch I used but that's another story. I am actually going to put it for sale now and start another build. LS1 this time!!!
Guys, the tech discussion doesn't really belong here, so I've moved the posts to a new thread here https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/o.../lsi-xj-86764/
