Default Replacing CAC3227 Rear Transmission Rubber Mount

As a result of my rear transmission seal having dripped on my new Poly rear transmission mount it deteriorated rapidly to mush. I ordered a repo CAC3227 from SNG Barrett and it appears to be the wrong one, in that the center hole is cut too large. I ordered another one from someone else that was supposed to be OEM, but it also seems to be the same oversized ID measurement on the spool rubber bushing. See below pics. The Poly one when I bought it was the perfect ID size to fit the two sleeves that ride inside it. But these two new ones are definitely oversized. Anyone have any ideas? Do I put it back together with the oversized hole?

Not sure, the snaps are a tad blurred.

The hundreds I have done have had the sleeves a loose fit in the hole, and that special washer C29011 is a "firm" fit in that same bore, thus giving the frictional grip to at as a shock absorber for the spring, to stop the :bounce" that occurs without that "special:washer.

I have a Word Doco on that mount here sopmewhere, and will find it and repost later today.

Somewhere in the distant past some PO has lost that special washer, so I had to assemble it without it.

AHA, thats when I reach for a BEER or 2 or 3.

Rummage around, find a 1/2" FLAT SECTION spring washer, JOB DONE.

Back to the BEER.

ALSO

When fitting that frame thing to the car, leave the 4 bolts loose. Lower the trans, and ensure that pin is DEAD CENTRE is the new bush. If not, lever the frame around until it is. That is the section that gets missed, and the bush will wear very quickly if its not centralised.

The Doco I have is the V12 set up, same but different (Aussie talk for close but not the same), and if you want it I will attach later.

Is this what you are calling a flat section spring washer?

Nope.

Flat section is this style

This is a square section spring washer

The flat section will have an internal hole of 1/2" in this case, and an outside diameter of slightly larger than the hole in that bush. Possibly 7/8" or so. The 1/2' flat style here are the same thickness, and OD of that special spacer, and simply flatten out when the bottom nut is tightened.

Square section are made from square section wire, whereas flats are made from rectangular wire, thus giving a large outside diameter.

As a result of your sage advice, I went back this mornimg, while it was still up on jack stands, and realigned the rear mount assembly. And sure enough it wasn't aligned - now it is. Thank you.
