Default Series 2 questions.

Bought a 74 LWB and have couple of questions.

1. Been searching around the internet and haven't been able to find series 2 replacement windscreen trim(L/R chrome/stainless pieces). Does anybody know a source for these? Did a search here and didn't come up with any answers. The current trim is a three piece affair with 3 2-3" inch rubber w/chrome(?) insert covering the joints. I'm assuming it's aftermarket. Not the cleanest look. Do the series 1 and 2 share the same windscreen trim? I've read about a difference in series 1 trim(wide vs narrow),

2. Is it all U.S. series 2 cars that need the euro lower grill, bumper brackets, turn signals, and rear mount modifications to make euro bumpers work?

3. Does anybody have a series 3 VDP rear seat for sale or is this wrong place to ask?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I have a Series II and indeed OEM is the multi piece windshield trim. And I've been told the Series III trim won't fit the Series II.

Not sure what you are asking on question 2, but my Series II has been upgraded to the Euro bumpers and trim.

Nice looking car Yachtmanbuttson.

There seems to be a couple of different US series 2 bumper styles(early and late series 2) . The first pic is a like my 74 and the second is a 77. My hope is that early series 2 cars will not require the different bumper brackets/hood hinges and welding up the rear mounts to make euro bumpers work. I read a write up someone had posted here, but I think was for a later series 2. Just hoping to save some time/money. Thanks.

that's a Daimler grille isn't it? They look wonderful.

I put one in my '65 S type.

I'm sure I'm a bit partial but I really, really, really like the look of the Daimler grill, the 7" outer headlights and the euro bumpers!

those Daimler grilles and boot plinths are works of metal Art.

Jaguar never did a Daimler Version of the S type, so I grabbed a grille from the Daimler MK-2 and made my own Daimler S type !
