Default Steering Wheel Squeak

I have this minor squeak near the upper column of the steering wheel. I've read in multiple places that there are two brass "fingers" for a ground on the inner column shaft.

It was recommended to dab them with grease.

Forgive my ignorance, but where is this brass item?? I have the lower column cover removed, but can't seem to see what it refers to. A picture if possible!

Thanks,
Doug

Here ya go.

#23 and 24 are the 2 contacts.

Also there is a bearing arrangement in the top of the column, just under the steering wheeel that could be "dry".

OK, I was way off. To confirm, you are indicating the area circled in RED in my picture? I guess I should drop that entire knee panel to access.

I also found a TSB: J84/31 Steering Steering Column Squeak

Do we have access to all TSBs? I noticed that the sticky in the forum is missing links and everydayxj just has a few online.

Thanks Again!

I reckon, but I have only done the Original S Type contacts, and they are right down near the firewall.

Default Steering Column Grounding Contacts

I happen to have an extra steering column so I don't have to take my car apart to see these contacts.

They are on the underside of the column, hidden above the underskuttle.

Both these and the ones in my car are liberally greased; I assume not only to prevent squeaks but to minimize wear.

Thanks for your help!! Worked like a charm. Just had to remove the lower panel, about 3 screws. Here are some pics before I greased. Just a dab did it.
