That's the sound it made as I closed it after a lovely evening drive with the top open. After that it would not open again. I know that it's operated by English magic somehow from the nether regions and I assume the "Bronk" was a plastic faerie letting go of the pull rope.

If anyone has better info I'm all ears.

 

I think you'll be taking the rear seat out to have look..... This video might be helpful.....it shows the cables and motor towards the end (around 8:30)

I'll open the rear shelf and check these bits. This morning it produced a "pop" and began operating normally. I'm suspecting a worn cable.
