What an amazing trip
Car made there and back with no real issues! 2 very minor issues both have been fixed before years ago and decided to wait until now to come back.
1. Starter relay, decided to act up when leaving bed amd breakfast for dinner, get in, turn key, nothing! Leave key in run postion, pop hood pulled.white and red wire from.relay and touch to positive terminal and she roars to life. No further acting up.
2. Drivers side hood latch popped up, hasnt done that in about 7 years, opened.hood and gave healthy slam closed and no further issues
All in all a fantastic drive, windows down and sunroof open for scenic route there, and windows closed ac on for interstate drive home! Other than 2 said issue she ran great, never skipped a beat, never went above 90. ( temp not mph)
Couple of.pics attached from pgone rest waiting to be uploaded from camera to pc.

Darren, I've recently greased the contact areas of both my hood latches against just such a sudden reluctance to work properly (door strikers too). Now, with just a little nudge with my knee in the middle of the grill, it SLAMS in a very positive, solid manner, both latches secure.
I'm glad you had such a good trip. Beautiful pictures!

Glad you had a good drive Darren, that's what it's all about. Nice pics, reminds me of coastal scenes in this part of the world.
I empathize because I've had the same two issues in the last month - bonnet popping (LHS), and a starter relay wire dislodging to cause the deadly "nothing" experience on turning the key! Fortunately both were easy fixes.

Darren:
That is what they are for ! fun and enjoyment. And a successful fix
of any quirks just makes it even better. No substitute for knowledge of the steed.
That coast is fantastic. Rivaled only by Route 1 along CA's Pacific coast.

Thanks for the bonnet tip!! Mine is a tad different. I removed the "monkey motion" linkage that made it more secure in the open position, but limited access. So, when open, it is a bit "over center"
and a mere nudge not enough to close it.
It does have the "pop the driver side" latch syndrome on going over a bump at times.
I just might get to mess with it this summer. It does need a bit of alignment fixing.
